About Roemer “Rick” Ricardo
Roemer “Rick” Ricardo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and moved to Florida in 1968. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and began his career at Cordis Corporation, a biomedical engineering company specializing in pacemaker technology.
In 1987, Rick joined Florida Power and Light Company, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Inc., a Fortune 200 company. During his career there, he worked on major projects including the Lauderdale Plant Repowering Project and later advanced to General Manager of Power Generation Applications and Technology, leading a team of over 40 professionals. His passion for engineering, performance excellence, and leadership led him to earn multiple certifications in leadership, coaching, and quality improvement.
After retiring in 2017, Rick founded RRR Consulting Services, Inc., an executive coaching, business execution, and leadership company. He serves individuals and organizations by walking alongside them, equipping them with the mindset and skills needed to achieve meaningful personal and professional growth.
On a personal note, Rick has been married to his wife Vivian for over 40 years and is the proud father of two daughters. He is active in his local church, serves on the board of the Christian Businessmen’s Connection of South Florida, and enjoys continuous learning, the outdoors, reading, and time with his family.
